On 8 August 2024, the High Commission of Malaysia in Ottawa and other members of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) co-hosted the ASEAN Food Festival. The event was attended by an estimated about 180 invitees among the diplomatic corps, Canadian government officials and the public in Ottawa. The theme of the Food Festival is “Same Same, but Different”, to celebrate the diverse ASEAN dishes, while rooted in similar culinary traditions, can vary uniquely across different cultures.
