High Commissioner Dato’ Dr Shazelina participated in the Canadian Global Afairs Institute Trade Conference 2026 today.
Joining the "Trading with Our Allies" panel, she highlighted how Malaysia mitigates global tariff volatility by adopting a "wait-and-see" approach to US tariff shocks, diversifying trade with 148 partners through a "friends to all" approach. Malaysia's trade with Canada rose by 19.2% to CAD6.2 billion in 2025.
