Strengthening Malaysia-Canada Cultural Ties! The High Commission of Malaysia in Ottawa was delighted to welcome a delegation from the State of Selangor, led by Datin Paduka Mastura Haji Muhamad, Director of the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS), alongside representatives from MBBY, Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas, and the Raja Tun Uda Library. It was a fruitful session learning about Selangor’s sponsorship of the Hans Christian Andersen Award (2027–2036) and new efforts for inclusive children's literacy. We also explored ways to empower local creators and build momentum toward celebrating 70 years of Malaysia-Canada relations in 2027! Special thanks to the delegation for donating a collection of MBBY Honor List books to enrich our High Commission's library!
