MALAYSIA ADVOCATES TRUST AND INTEGRITY AT THE
“LEADING FOR PEACE AMBASSADORIAL ROUNDTABLE”
On 5 March 2025, H.E. Dato’ Nadzirah Osman, Permanent Representative of Malaysia participated as a keynote speaker in the Breakfast Roundtable for Ambassadors on ‘Leading for Peace: The Pact for the Future – Fostering Trust and Integrity in Diplomacy for a New Multilateralism’.
Co-organised by the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Lesotho and HWPL Switzerland, the event brought together Permanent Representatives and senior diplomats from Botswana, the Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Mauritania, South Africa, South Sudan and Yemen. It was held on the margins of the 58th Session of the Human Rights Council.
The event provided Malaysia with the opportunity to address the roundtable from a national perspective as a developing country and as the Chair of ASEAN in 2025. Emphasising that trust and integrity are fundamental to revitalising multilateralism, Dato’ Nadzirah Osman reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to fostering an inclusive international system that upholds key principles such as mutual respect, diplomacy and peaceful coexistence.
In line with the theme Inclusivity and Sustainability, Dato’ Nadzirah Osman highlighted Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN priorities which focus on strengthening regional peace, stability and prosperity within an inclusive, sustainable and future-oriented framework.
Malaysia is also committed to promoting strategic trust and integrity among ASEAN Member States and with Dialogue Partners, through sustained dialogue, diplomacy and genuine political goodwill.
