The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Malaysia in Chile received representatives from the Centro Islámico de Chile, the only JAKIM-recognised Foreign Halal Certification Body (FHCB) in the country.
The meeting focused on leveraging the Malaysia–Chile Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to enhance bilateral halal trade and exploring opportunities to position Chile as a strategic gateway for Malaysian halal products into Latin America. The Embassy looks forward to the Centre’s participation in MIHAS 2025 and the Global Halal Summit.
