On 14 August 2026, H.E. Ambassador-designate R. Suresh Kumar visited DKo Home, where he was received by its Director, Mr. Alejandro Sánchez.
DKo Home is a Chilean furniture and home décor retail brand with roots in Punta Arenas that has expanded its presence into the Santiago retail market. Under Mr. Sánchez’s leadership, the company has developed large-format stores showcasing a wide range of furniture and home décor products.
During the visit, both sides exchanged views on opportunities to expand the presence of Malaysian-made furniture in the Chilean market, building on DKo Home’s existing sourcing from Malaysia. The discussion also explored potential linkages with Malaysian furniture manufacturers and prospects for introducing a wider range of Malaysian products to Chilean consumers.
The Embassy, together with MATRADE Santiago, will continue to facilitate business linkages and explore opportunities to further strengthen the presence of Malaysian furniture and home furnishing products in the Chilean market.
