Art and Calligraphy Exhibition in Conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Malaysia and China, 10 December 2024
The Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing proudly hosted the Art and Calligraphy Exhibition held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations at the Malaysia Embassy in Beijing on 10 December 2024.
More than 100 works of art and calligraphy from Malaysia and China were displayed at the event.
Besides artists from Malaysia and China, the event was also attended by more than 200 attendees including the diplomatic corps in Beijing, the Malaysian diaspora in Beijing, and Chinese Education Institutions and Media from both countries.
His Excellency Ambassador of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of China, Dato’ Norman Muhamad in his opening remarks highlighted that throughout the five decades of Malaysia-China relations, there have been many positive developments and achievements that both countries are proud of.
He hopes that this exhibition could further strengthen the relations between Malaysia and China and provide a wider and greater inspiration for cooperation in the years to come. While there are differences in languages, histories, cultures, and traditions, he hopes that art could speak a universal language to further inspire, connect, and unite the people between both countries.
The event was also co-organised by the Malaysian-China Chamber of Commerce (MAYCHAM), Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Collectors Association and Malaysia-China China Cultural and Arts Association.
