FRIENDSHIP RACE MARKING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF MALAYSIA-CHINA DIPLOMATIC TIES
A Friendship Race Marking the 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Ties was held in Zhaoqing, Guangdong on 31 March 2024. Some 50 Malaysian runners comprising Consulate General personnel, students and members of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah participated in the 8km race.
The event was flagged off by the Consul General of Malaysia to Guangzhou, Madam Suraya Pauzi; the Mayor of Zhaoqing, H.E. Xu Xiaoxong; President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah Dr. Oh Ei Sun and other local officials. A total of 14,000 runners participated in the race which was also held together with the Annual Zhaoqing Half-Marathon race.
