MYTRAVELPASS UPDATE
Effective 1 November 2021, non-Malaysians who hold valid Malaysian long-term visit passes are permitted to enter Malaysia without the need to obtain MyTravelPass / MyEntry approval. These include:
• Diplomats (Exemption Order) and their Dependents / Domestic Helper
• Employment Pass (Category I, II, III) holders and their Dependents / Domestic Helper
• Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) holders and their Dependents / Domestic Helper
• Professional Visit Pass-Specialist and Professional Visit Pass holders
• Permanent Residents (PR) and their Spouse/Children
• Long-Term Pass (Husband/Wife/Child of Malaysian) holders
• Senior Citizen Pass Holders
• Widow/Widower Pass Holders
• Student Pass Holders / Dependent of Student / Escort of Student
• Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Pass holders and their Dependents / Domestic Helper
• Resident Pass Holders
• Temporary Work Visit Pass Holders
• Domestic Helper (Foreign Maid) Pass Holders
Categories that still require the MyTravelPass / MyEntry approval to enter Malaysia are as follows:
• Social Visit
• Long term visit pass holders with *expired passes*
• *Newly approved* applications for Employment Pass Application (Category I, II, III) / Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) / Dependents / Domestic Helpers / Professional Visit Pass — Specialist
• Short-Term Business Travellers

As the Consulate has no say on MyTravelPass applications, we are not able to follow up on your applications for you. Applicants are advised to check the status of their applications at: https://mtp.imi.gov.my/myTravelPass/semakan, while inquiries may be directed to: http://eapp.imi.gov.my/tanya/create.
Malaysians do not need to apply for the MyTravelPass approval to exit Malaysia. They must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and are subject to quarantine requirements upon return to Malaysia.
Malaysians abroad are permitted to enter Malaysia without the prior-approval of Immigration Malaysia.
