Updates on Immigration Malaysia Procedures for Malaysian Nationals Entering and Exiting Malaysia as of 24 May 2021

UPDATES ON IMMIGRATION MALAYSIA PROCEDURES FOR MALAYSIAN NATIONALS ENTERING AND EXITING MALAYSIA
1. MALAYSIAN NATIONALS EXITING MALAYSIA
• Categories which DO NOT require Immigration Malaysia approval
 Holders of Long Term Passes of the destination country (PR / Resident Pass / Work Pass / Student Pass / Resident ID)
 Students (resuming studies) (maximum of two persons such as parent/guardian/dependant may accompany a student)
 Employed by a petroleum / shipping company and need to “sign-on” abroad
(Supporting documents to be presented to the Immigration Malaysia official when exiting Malaysia)
• Categories which DO require Immigration Malaysia approval in the form of the MyTravelPass. See: https://www.facebook.com/MALAYSIAinHongKongMacao/posts/2709765602624401
 For new employment abroad
 Students who are starting their studies or taking exams abroad
 Malaysians who do not hold long term passes or are not residents of the destination country but wish to travel for meetings/conferences/business/medical/emergency reasons.
• Categories NOT PERMITTED to exit Malaysia
 Tourism / Holiday abroad
 Social visits to family abroad
2. MALAYSIAN NATIONALS ENTERING MALAYSIA
