Liaison Officials’ Meeting for the 22nd CABIS
In the morning of 24 June 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the Liaison Officials’ Meeting (LOM) of the 22nd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), at the Grand Metropark Hotel, Nanning.
The LOM is hosted annually by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangxi Committee to update and discuss with the ASEAN delegation on the arrangement and proposed events of the CABIS.

During the meeting, the Consul General highlighted the excellent bilateral relations between Malaysia and China, underpinned by mutual high-level visits, the iconic “Two Country, Twin Parks” project, and the strong trade and investment cooperation.
He then shared the vibrant and attractive investment performance of Malaysia in 2024 and 2025. He also highlighted Malaysia’s role and commitment as the ASEAN Chairmanship in promoting regional stability, prosperity and economic growth and fostering multilateral cooperation with China and other global partners. He also emphasized that together with the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), Malaysia will continue to support the 22nd CABIS.

Three representatives from Malaysia’s business community attended the event, namely Dato’ Andrew Goh Boon Kim, Deputy Secretary General of NCCIM, Dato’ Tan Tian Meng, Executive Committee Member of NCCIM, and Mr. Michael Chai Woon Chew, Deputy General Secretary of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia.
