On 24 September 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in an MoU exchange ceremony between HQC Commerce Sdn Bhd and Guangxi Leading Agricultural & Livestock Enterprises Promotion Association in Nanning.
The MoU featured the promotion of trade and services between Malaysia and Guangxi, as well as the development and promotion of halal international trade, service and certification to strengthen global halal market presence.
Following the exchange ceremony, Dato' ChM. Hj. Khairul Shahril Bin Hamzah, CEO of HQC Commerce, gave a training on Halal certification to members of the Association. He emphasized the concept of Halalan Toyyiban which is not only based on religious faith but also focuses on quality, safety and hygiene, covering a wide range of sectors, such as food and beverage, fashion, cosmetics, tourism, pharmacy, recreation.
He specially highlighted the world-class standard of Malaysia’s Halal certification that is widely recognized by over 70 countries in the world, enabling companies to access to fast-growing markets in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, Southeast Asia and even parts of European countries.
