8TH HANGZHOU INTERNATIONAL DAY
On 5 September 2025, the Consul General, Mr. Mohd Shahafeez Shaharis attended the Opening Ceremony of the 8th Hangzhou International Day, held at InterContinental Hangzhou ICC.
With the theme “Hangzhou: A Paradise where AI Booms and Culture Blooms”, the event highlighted the city's achievements in the fields of scientific and technological innovation, international cooperation and cultural exchanges. Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee cum Secretary of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. Liu Fei delivered the opening remarks. The ceremony also witnessed the launching of the Technology Transfer Genius Model 2.0 and AI Hangzhou 2.0.
As part of the two-day event, guests visited the Future Sci-Tech City Exhibition Center which displays the latest technological advancements from local companies including the “Six Little Dragons”. The Consul General also participated in a business networking session at Winland Center, where he had a productive discussion with representatives from Proya, a cosmetic company headquartered in Hangzhou.
