On 15 July 2025, the Consulate General received a courtesy call from Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, led by the Deputy Director, Ms. Chen Weijing. She was also accompanied by the Deputy Director of Qiantang New Area Management Committee, Ms. Li Jun; and Chief of Policy Engagement Division, Secretariat of the China Center for Cooperation on Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries, Mr. Wu ZhongJian.

 

Ms. Chen introduced the BRICS Special Economic Zones (SEZ) China Cooperation Center that was established on 21 March this year, which aims to nurture cooperation on the development of AI and green industry among international enterprises and SEZs. Both sides further discussed the potential collaboration in trade and investment. The delegation also extended an invitation to attend the 2025 BRICS SEZ Dialogue and the 4^th Global Digital Trade Expo scheduled in September.
