MEETING WITH UN UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL AND SPECIAL ENVOY FOR DIGITAL AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
On 28 July 2025, the Minister of Digital of Malaysia, YB Gobind Singh Deo met with the UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy for Digital and Emerging Technologies, Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill on the sideline of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai.
Both sides discussed cooperation between ASEAN and the UN, with a focus on Malaysia’s potential to take a leading regional role, as well as the opportunities to establish international centres of excellence and cross-country capacity building.
