MELAKA STATE GOVERNMENT DELEGATION VISITS SHANGHAI TO STRENGTHEN AGRICULTURAL COOPERATION
On 28 January 2026, a delegation from the Melaka State Government, led by the State Financial Officer, YB Datuk Wira Salhah Salleh conducted a Working Visit to Shanghai. The visit was part of the State’s initiative to strengthen cooperation with China in the areas of agricultural innovation, food security, agrotechnology collaboration and investment promotion.
In the morning, the delegation visited Shanghai Sunqiaoyijia Tech Agriculture Co Ltd, where they were briefed on the integration of smart technologies in cherry tomato cultivation.
In the afternoon, the delegation undertook a visit to Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS) and had a productive discussion with the academy’s researchers of different fields, led by the Vice President, Mr. Zhao Zhihui. The delegation also toured the Shanghai Soil Science and Technology Museum as well as the Edible Fungi Pilot Platform of National Engineering Research Center.
