SHANGHAI FORUM 2025, 25 APRIL 2025
On 25 April 2025, the Consulate General of Malaysia along with other representatives of Consulates General in Shanghai were invited to participate as observers in the Opening Ceremony of Shanghai Forum 2025, organized by Fudan University.
Focusing on the theme “Age of Innovation: Technology, Development and Governance”, the Forum was addressed by renowned political figures, distinguished scholars and business leaders from China and beyond. Among them were Former Prime Minister of Japan, H.E. Yukio Hatoyama; Former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, H.E. Kim Won-soo; Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of USA and Managing Director of China Practice, Eurasia Group, Mr. Rick Waters; and Founder and Chairman of Guancha.cn, Mr. Li Shimo.
The Forum covered a number of topics including AI governance, digital health transformation, and technological innovation.
