WAIC CHINA-ASEAN AI FORUM
On 28 July 2025, the Minister of Digital of Malaysia, YB Gobind Singh Deo attended and delivered a keynote speech at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) China-ASEAN AI Forum at Shanghai World Expo Center, organized by Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII).
YB Gobind outlined Malaysia’s digital ecosystem architecture, which includes key digital infrastructure, the new Data Commission, digital trust reforms through legislation, the National AI Office, and technological convergence via foundational technologies such as blockchain and quantum computing.
The Forum was also addressed by the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Stella Christie and AIII Managing Director, Dr. James Ong.
