WAIC OPENING CEREMONY
On 26 July 2025, the Consulate General accompanied the Minister of Digital of Malaysia, YB Gobind Singh Deo and his delegation to attend the Opening Ceremony of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) at Shanghai World Expo Center.
Premier Li Qiang delivered a keynote address at the event, calling on countries to strengthen coordination in promoting the development and governance of artificial intelligence (AI). The Secretary-General of the United Nations, H.E. António Guterres and the Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn also delivered speeches.
Under the theme of “Global Solidarity in the AI Era”, this annual AI conference serves as a platform for government officials, industry players, researchers and investors to discuss global cooperation and to showcase cutting-edge technologies.
