On 5 June 2025, the Consulate General was invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 RCEP Local Governments and Friendship Cities Cooperation (Huangshan) Forum in Huangshang City, Anhui Province. The event was co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and People’s Government of Anhui Province. 

Under the theme of "Regional Cooperation and Joint Development", the conference aimed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, as well as to promote regional economic integration among RCEP countries and cities. 

More than 300 representatives from diplomatic offices of RCEP members in Beijing and Shanghai, Chinese local governments, international organizations and business associations participated at the conference. Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), Mr. Wu Weihua addressed the event and officiated the opening ceremony.

Earlier, the representatives of diplomatic missions met with Anhui provincial leaders led by the Governor, Mr. Wang Qingxian.
