On 22 February 2024, a Corporate Roundtable was held between Ambassador of Malaysia to China, H.E. Dato’ Norman Muhamad and the representatives from nine (9) Chinese companies with significant investments in Malaysia, as well as representatives from three (3) Malaysian companies with presence in China, during the former’s working visit to Shanghai.

The event was organized and moderated by the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (MAYCHAM China) in Shanghai. It was also attended by the Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Syed Farizal Aminy Syed Mohamad, as well as other heads of agency namely Trade Consul (MATRADE Shanghai), Investment Consul (MIDA Shanghai), General Manager of Palm Oil Research and Technical Service Institute of Malaysian Palm Oil Board (PORTSIM China) and Chief Representative of Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC).

All the participating companies have had the opportunity to brief about their companies, particularly details on their investments in Malaysia, as well as to submit their proposals for the betterment of the investment experience in Malaysia.
