On 11 June 2025, the Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government of Sarawak, YB Datuk Amar Prof. Dr. Sim Kui Hian paid a courtesy call on the President of Fudan University and Dean of Shanghai Medical College, Prof. Jin Li.

Both sides discussed cooperation on healthcare and witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement on establishing a joint integrative medicine research center in Kenyalang Smart City (KSC), Miri. 

Also in attendance were Minister for Transport Sarawak, YB Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin; and Vice President Ma Yugang of Fudan University.
