Factory Visit in Suzhou – Ramatex Apparel (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., 22 February 2024

On 22 February 2024, Ambassador of Malaysia to China, H.E. Dato’ Norman Muhamad and delegation visited Ramatex Apparel (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., a textile and garment manufacturing company in Suzhou, Jiangsu. The visit was one of the programs organized by the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (MAYCHAM China) in Shanghai during H.E. Ambassador’s working visit to Shanghai.


H.E. Ambassador was accompanied by the Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Syed Farizal Aminy Syed Mohamad and other heads of agency namely Trade Consul (MATRADE Shanghai), Investment Consul (MIDA Shanghai), General Manager of Palm Oil Research and Technical Service Institute of Malaysian Palm Oil Board (PORTSIM China).


The delegation was briefed about the factory’s operation in Suzhou, and subsequently guided for a factory tour. They were introduced with the company’s fully vertically integrated textile & garment manufacturing from producing yarn to garments, and the adoption of automation in all the factory’s processes from production lines, until warehouse operation and delivery system, which are all maintained using their own in-house technical expertise. The company also emphasized the importance of the welfare of its employees with the introduction of various activities to create productive, healthy and comfortable working environment.


Ramatex Apparel (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. is a subsidiary of Ramatex Textiles Industrial (M) Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian company established in Parit Raja, Johor in 1983. The company covers textile manufacturing (spinning, knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing) and made-up garments for export markets.
