The Consulate General of Malaysia in Shanghai was invited to attend the Closing Ceremony of the 20th Shanghai International Youth Interactive Friendship Camp on 21 July 2026. The ceremony was held at the Zizhu Campus of the No. 2 High School of East China Normal University (ECNU).
Organized by the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC), the Shanghai Youth Federation and the Shanghai Youth Activity Center, the camp ran from 12 to 22 July 2026. More than 100 students and chaperones from 17 countries across five continents participated, including a delegation from Malaysia.
This international youth event serves as a platform to foster cultural exchanges, international dialogue and scientific innovation among young people of different nationalities.
During the ceremony, the Malaysian campers shared insights from their 10-day journey in China and performed the traditional Joget Pahang dance.
