On 29 July 2026, the Consul General of Malaysia in Shanghai, Mr. Mohd Shahafeez Shaharis met with the Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, Mr. Qin Junfeng, who was accompanied by the Deputy Director-General of the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Ms. Chu Xiaoyan.
Both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen tourism cooperation between Malaysia and Anhui in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 and the Anhui International Culture and Tourism Festival.
