MALAYSIAN CRAFT GOES GLOBAL AT INTERTEXTILE SHANGHAI APPAREL FABRICS EXPO

Consul General, Mr. Abdullah Ma’amor Ibrahim, visited the Kraftangan Malaysia Pavilion at the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Expo on 25 August 2026. He was welcomed by Mr. Muhamad Razib of the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation.

Featuring 8 talented Malaysian handicraft entrepreneurs, the pavilion showcased the richness of Malaysia’s textile heritage, from intricate batik and traditional weaving to contemporary accessories.

Kraftangan Malaysia’s participation at the expo aimed to bring Malaysian crafts to the global stage, forge strategic partnerships with importers, distributors and international industry players, as well as introduce the unique identity of Malaysian craftsmanship to the Chinese and global markets.
