On August 27, 2025, Consul General Lum met with leaders from the Ningxia government, including Party Secretary Li Yifei and Chairman Zhang Yupu, along with other senior officials. This meeting highlighted Ningxia’s recent achievements, development plans, and the history of the China-Arab States Expo. Consul General Lum also attended a welcome dinner for foreign delegates, further reinforcing Malaysia's presence at the Expo.

At the Health Cooperation and Development Conference, Consul General Lum joined Chinese and international leaders for the event's inauguration. He emphasized Malaysia’s commitment to discussions surrounding digital health, public healthcare reforms, and traditional medicine. Malaysia expressed a strong interest in international healthcare collaboration, underscoring the importance of building partnerships and exploring future opportunities within the China-Arab health sector. Malaysia actively participated in discussions on digital health, telemedicine, and talent training, demonstrating its dedication to fostering global health collaboration and contributing to the development of a China-Arab health community.

Additionally, Malaysia established a dedicated national pavilion, organized by the Malaysia International Business Promotion Association (MIBPA), showcasing iconic products such as biscuits, coffee, and durian. Consul General Lum toured the pavilion, engaging with exhibitors and promoting Malaysian products to both Chinese and Arab visitors. This pavilion served as a platform to strengthen Malaysia's trade relations, enhance brand visibility, and foster cultural and economic exchanges among Malaysia, China, and Arab states.

Through active participation in sectors such as technology, AI, healthcare, and trade, Malaysia, under the leadership of Consul General Lum Wan Liang, demonstrated its commitment to being a reliable partner in the China-Arab partnership. The Consulate General will continue to support Malaysian enterprises, promote innovation, and strengthen economic, technological, and cultural cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
