Malaysia Sales Mission to China
On September 5, 2025, the Consul General of Malaysia participated in the Malaysia Sales Mission to China at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Xi'an. The event, organized by the Malaysia Inbound Chinese Association and Tourism Malaysia with support from the Malaysian Consulate, aimed to promote Visit Malaysia 2026. It showcased Malaysia's attractions, such as island resorts, cultural sites, eco-tourism, and the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program. Xi'an was chosen because of its historical significance and growing tourism market.
Participants included representatives from local tourism authorities, travel agencies, media, and potential investors. The Consul General, Mr. Lum Wan Liang, supported the event and emphasized the importance of fostering tourism and business cooperation between Malaysia and Northwest China. The sales mission highlighted Malaysia's natural beauty and cultural diversity, aiming to attract more Chinese tourists and strengthen ties between Malaysia and China. As Visit Malaysia 2026 approaches, these efforts will promote sustainable tourism and invite visitors to explore Malaysia's culture, lifestyle, and investment opportunities.
