OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2020 MALAYSIA FOOD AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL, 21 AUGUST 2020

Consul General officiated the Opening Ceremony of the 2020 Malaysia Food and Cultural Festival on 21 August 2020 at Shangri-La Hotel Xi’an.

 

The 2020 Malaysia Food and Cultural Festival was hosted by the Shangri-La Hotel Xi’an with the support of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Xi’an and the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (MAYCHAM) China- Xi’an Chapter.

 

Amongst the attendees at the Festival were the Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate General, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, , Deputy Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia, General Manager of CapitaLand Mall Asia Limited, local and Malaysian business community and Malaysian expatriate community in Xi’an, including HBS and families.

 

The Food Festival, which was held from 21 to 31 August 2020, highlighted the richness and vibrant heritage of Malaysia culinary and cultural.  It offered guests the opportunity to taste the most authentic Malaysian cuisines, such as the rojak, curry laksa, sambal udang, mee goreng, ikan bakar, kuih-muih and many more.  There were also booths promoting Malaysian products namely the Musang King durian, bird nest, madu kelulut, white coffee and curry puffs.
