The 2026 Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo, held from 17 to 19 April 2026 at the Xi'an International Convention Centre, brought together government officials, industry leaders, and cultural ambassadors from around the world, including Malaysia, Ethiopia, Turkey, and more. Key figures, such as Shaanxi’s Vice Governor and Ethiopia’s Ambassador to China, highlighted the importance of the Silk Road as a platform for cultural exchange, sustainable tourism, and international cooperation.
Malaysia set-up a vibrant pavilion to showcase the country’s diverse attractions and cultural heritage during Visit Malaysia Year 2026. This expo underscored the significance of fostering global partnerships, promoting diverse cultures, and supporting the growth of tourism as a driver of economic prosperity and mutual understanding.
