A presentation of memento to the Honorary Consuls General of Malaysia in Germany

A presentation of memento to the Honorary Consuls General of Malaysia in Hamburg and Stuttgart took place during the National Day reception on 17 September 2019. The ceremony was organised in recognition of the services of both Honorary Consuls General for the past 25 years.

Datuk Edgar Nordmann was born on 29 September 1939 in Hamburg. He is a major shareholder, chairman and managing board of Georg Nordmann Holding Aktiengesellschaft. He is also the managing director of Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH, Hamburg as Rowa Group, Pniieburg.

He was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Hamburg in 1984. In 1996, he was appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Malaysia in Hamburg, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Scheswig-Holstein.

In recognition of his services, Datuk Nordmann was conferred the Johan Setia Mahkota Award from the King of Malaysia in 1996 and the Panglima Jasa Negara Award in 2002, which carries the title 'Datuk'.

 

Datuk Dr. Helmut Baur was born on 12 July 1941 in Boeblingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg. He is the founder of Binder Optik which has 50 outlets across South Germany.

He was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Baden-Wurttemberg in 1994. In 1996, he was appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Malaysia in Baden-Wurttemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

In recognition of his services, Datuk Dr. Baur was conferred the Panglima Jasa Negara Award in 2005 by the King of Malaysia, which carries the title 'Datuk'.
