Berlin ASEAN Committee Engages Business Community at the Diplomatic Soiree
H.E. Ambassador and other ASEAN ambassadors attended a Diplomatic Soiree organized by the Diplomatic Council at Hotel de Rome, Berlin on 3 May 2017. The event was an initiative of the Diplomatic Council to promote interaction between the diplomatic corps, in this case the ASEAN diplomats, with the business community. The event provided an opportunity for the Berlin ASEAN Committee to introduce ASEAN and its potentials to the business community, as well as opportunity for the business community to obtain information on ASEAN from the ambassadors. Many of the participants were interested in getting a clearer picture on where ASEAN stands on prominent issues such as the North Korean nuclear programme, territorial dispute in the South China Sea, as well as Brexit.
