COVID-19 INFO : ANNOUNCEMENT FOR MALAYSIANS IN GERMANY
In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, governments across Europe continue to close land and air borders, limiting the movement of individuals and transportation. Limited international commercial flights remain available at German airports. Many regular airlines flying into Germany airports may have reduced their frequency, rescheduled or are considering suspending their flights.
Malaysian citizens who are wishing to return to Malaysia are urged to depart soonest.
Due to the dynamic situation, all Malaysian citizens who are in Germany for tourist purposes are advised to change their return journey at the earliest opportunity to fly home immediately to avoid being stranded
Germany has implemented border closures along its borders with Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg and Denmark.

For those in Berlin, from Monday (23.03.2020) onwards, an emergency service will be available at the State Office for Immigration. Foreign citizens can register themselves via online and print out a certificate. A telephone hotline will also be available at the following numbers: 90269-5507 and 90269-5505.
Although tourists must leave the country within 90 days, those who cannot leave the country due to a ban on leaving the country will not have any problems because this is an exceptional situation.
