Malaysia at the Landesgartenschau Oranienburg 2009

The third theme week at the Landesgartenschau Oranienburg 2009 from 6 to 12 July is dedicated to of “Exotic Fruit’.

 

We invite you to discover Malaysia’s Best” during this theme week from 7 July to 12 July at our exotic fruit market in the harbour area of the Landesgartenschau Oranienburg. Here you can taste tropical fruit from Malaysia, some of which are little known in Germany, for example, have you ever heard of nangka or jackfruit, a fruit that can weigh up to 10 kg? Several varieties of BOH tea from the Malaysian highlands and Malaysian handicraft are up for sale. Visitors can also find out more about Malaysia and its sunny beaches, unique islands, its diverse flora and fauna and oldest rainforest of the world at our tourist information stand. For those who are interested to visit Malaysia, Transorient Touristik GmbH will be able to assist.

 

On 11 and 12 July the ladies of the Embassy of Malaysia will take you to the world of Malaysia’s Kitchen with cooking demonstration at 3 p.m. Malaysia is a true melting pot of cultures. With Malay, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Indigenous and Eurasian influences, Malaysian cuisine can boast an astonishing array of dishes. There is a saying that one can try a different dish every day of the year in Malaysia and still only know a small part of Malaysia’s kitchen.
