Presentation of Letters of Credence, Her Excellency Datin Sarah Al Bakri Devadason, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany
Her Excellency Ambassador Datin Sarah Al Bakri Devadason, presented her Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Germany, His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier on 27 November 2017. The ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace (Schloss Bellevue). Ambassador Datin Sarah was accompanied by her eldest son and Home-Based Staff from the Embassy of Malaysia. Ambassador Datin Sarah also had a brief audience with President Steinmeier after the ceremony, where both had exchanged of views of mutual importance to Malaysia and Germany. The ceremony was followed by a reception held at the Embassy of Malaysia.
Ambassador Datin Sarah is the 21st Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany; and the first lady ambassador since the establishment of the Embassy in Germany in 1962. Her foreign assignments have been as Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York, as well as Deputy Permanent Representative of Malaysia to ASEAN in Jakarta.
