The ALL NATIONS FESTIVAL 2009 AT THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA

4 JULY 2009, 1100 - 1800 Hrs

On 4 July 2008, the ALL NATIONS FESTIVAL will be held for the ninth time and it offers the opportunity for 24 participating Embassies not only to show their premises, but to also present their culture, economy and tourism potentials. During the last years more than fifteen thousands of visitors have enjoyed the festival.

 

The Embassy of Malaysia will for the eighth year in a row participate in the ALL NATIONS FESTIVAL.

 

The Embassy once again has planned a special programme for its visitors. An art exhibition will show works of Malaysian artists; Chef de Mulu from Sarawak and Zubin Zainal, a resident of Berlin. Traditional handicrafts will also be on display with some of them up for sale.

 

In line with the overall theme “With Hat and Hair”, different types of Malaysian headgear of the main ethnic groups in Malaysia will be put on display.


Furthermore, the visitors can sample traditional Malaysian foods like mee goreng, cokodok pisang, kuih batik and teh tarik prepared by PERWAKILAN, the Embassy’s Women Association at a reasonable price. We also invite you to taste our own Malaysian “BOH” tea on offer by Salacca.

 

Visitors will also be able to witness a traditional Malay wedding ceremony which will be performed three times a day, starting at 1200 hours in the atrium of the Malaysian Embassy. Various cultural performances such as ‘kom-pang”, the martial arts form “silat” and “joget lambak” will be performed throughout the day.

 

A special tourist information booth with various tourism promotional materials and videos will be able to give more information about Malaysia. For those who are interested to visit Malaysia, Transorient Touristik GmbH will be able to assist with the arrangements. We have also prepared a travel quiz for our visitors the main prize a free hotel stay for two in Kuala Lumpur or on the island of Langkawi.

 

In this regard, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the Malaysian Embassy for this year’s ALL NATIONS FESTIVAL to experience the tastes, sounds and sights of “Malaysia – Truly Asia”.
