Courtesy Call by Director of Tourism Malaysia - Tourism Malaysia Promotion And Sales Mission To North Africa
On 5 February 2024, Mr Ahmad Faisal Mohamed, Director of Tourism Malaysia based in Jeddah cum Head of Delegation for Tourism Malaysia Promotion and Sales Mission to North Africa paid a courtesy call on Mrs Rafedah Abd Aziz, CDA a.i. at the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo. Mr Ahmad Faisal was accompanied by Mrs. Zurina Abdul Samad, Deputy Director, International Promotion Division (West Asia, North Africa and Pakistan), Tourism Malaysia HQ, Mr. Suzairy Ibrahim Deputy Director of TM Jeddah and Mr. Azrul Syafiq Zulkifli from TM HQ. The Embassy was briefed on the details of the Sales Missions which included, meetings with local stakeholders from the travel and tours fraternity.
The Embassy welcomed the sales promotion mission to Egypt and expressed hope to see more engagements by Tourism Malaysia with their local counterparts in promoting Malaysia not only as an affordable luxury holiday destination but also in the niche segment of education tourism in Southeast Asia. The Charge' d'Affaires a.i. was joined by Mr. Izwan Sanusi, First Secretary (Politics); Mr Hashim Zaini, First Secretary (Education) and Mr Salehuddin Shafie, First Secretary (Education).
