On 25 June 2017, the Malaysian Embassy organised its 'Hari Raya' Open House at the Malaysian Hall Abbasiah Cairo. The programme was held as part of the Embassy's outreach and public diplomacy exercise, among other to forge closer relations between the officials and families of the Embassy and Malaysians residing in Egypt. More than 1,500 guests attended the programme, enjoying the varied traditional foods of Malaysia such as Satay, Nasi Minyak, Rendang, Char Kuey Tiaw, Murtabak and Kuih Muih.
