Bilateral meeting with Admiral General Teodoro E. López Calderón, Chief of the Defence Staff of Spain
H.E. Ambassador Haznah Md Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to Spain held a constructive meeting with Admiral General Teodoro E. López Calderón, Chief of the Defence Staff of Spain, to discuss the state and future direction of Malaysia–Spain defence relations. The engagement provided a valuable platform for both sides to exchange views on strengthening bilateral ties and identifying avenues to deepen cooperation in areas of shared interest. Both sides expressed their keenness to work towards revitalising defence cooperation between Malaysia and Spain, in line with the evolving strategic environment.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of sustained engagement at various levels to ensure continued momentum in bilateral relations. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further advancing Malaysia–Spain defence cooperation in a practical and forward-looking manner.
