MEETING WITH ASEMPEA
H.E. Ambassador Haznah Md Hashim received Mr Antonio Viñal, Secretary General of ASEMPEA, a Spanish business association that promotes economic and commercial engagement between Spanish companies and countries across the Asia-Pacific region, to discuss opportunities to further strengthen Malaysia–Spain economic cooperation.
Discussions focused on the potential organisation of a joint seminar in Spain on Malaysia’s 13th Malaysia Plan, as well as expanding collaboration in trade and investment. Both sides also exchanged views on strengthening Spanish business presence and investment opportunities in Malaysia.
The engagement reflects ongoing efforts by the Embassy to work closely with Spanish business associations to enhance awareness of Malaysia’s economic prospects and position Malaysia as a strategic gateway for Spanish companies seeking opportunities in ASEAN.
