MEETING WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL OF SPAIN'S POLICIA NACIONAL
H.E. Ambassador Haznah Md Hashim met with Mr. Francisco Pardo Piqueras, Director General of Spain’s Policía Nacional, on 10 February 2026 in Madrid to explore enhanced cooperation between Malaysia and Spain in security and law enforcement.
Discussions focused on shared challenges faced by both countries as major tourism and connectivity hubs, including terrorism, organised crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, illegal immigration, and cross-border scams. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening ties with relevant Malaysian enforcement agencies.
The meeting reflects growing Malaysia–Spain cooperation in addressing transnational security threats while strengthening institutional ties between law enforcement agencies of both countries.
