On Saturday, 2 June 2012 the Embassy of Malaysia organised a Returning Expert Programme (REP) as well as the outreach programme under the auspices of Talent Corp in Barcelona where there are about 50 Malaysians. The interaction session cum Malaysian lunch was attended by 38 Malaysians. It was very successful as following the session, almost all the Malaysian students with about 10 doing PhD programme have confirmed returning back to Malaysia to serve the country. The Malaysians in Barcelona were also treated to a sumptuous Malaysian cuisine prepared by PERWAKILAN with the assistance of a Malaysian lady who is married to a Spaniard in Barcelona. The Secretary General of Casa Asia (an institution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain intended to promote people to people relations between Spain and Asian countries) also attended the session and the lunch.
