ADVANCING MALAYSIA–EU RELATIONS: ELEVATING PARTNERSHIP AND COOPERATION

The Embassy of Malaysia in Madrid welcomes the official ratification of the Malaysia–EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (MEUPCA). This landmark agreement establishes a comprehensive, long-term framework to deepen strategic collaboration across vital modern sectors—including trade, investment, renewable energy, and digital transformation. As a core economic and strategic partner within the European Union, Spain represents a vital pillar in this expanded framework. The operationalisation of MEUPCA will directly bolster Malaysia-Spain bilateral relations, catalysing high-quality knowledge transfers, green tech investments, and enhanced market access between our nations. Aligned with Malaysia’s economic transformation agenda under the MADANI Economy framework, this ratification underscores Malaysia’s commitment to expanding secure, strategic global alliances and fostering shared prosperity with key European partners.
