MEETING WITH LIEUTENANT GENERAL MIGUEL IVORRA RUIZ, DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR STRATEGY AND INNOVATION OF THE DEFENCE INDUSTRY, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE SPAIN

On 7 May 2026, H.E. Haznah Md Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to Spain met with Lieutenant General Miguel Ivorra Ruiz, Director General for Strategy and Innovation of the Defence Industry, Ministry of Defence Spain; and Brigadier General Paulino García Diego, Director of the Division for Coordination and Security & Defence Studies (SEGENPOL). Discussions emphasised efforts to strengthen Malaysia–Spain defence cooperation, identifying potential areas including institutional engagement, defence industry collaboration, aerospace partnerships, and prospects for future high-level exchanges. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of bolstering bilateral defence ties and exploring new strategic avenues for cooperation in high-technology sectors.
