Birth/Marriage Certificate
REGISTRATION OF BIRTH FOR MALAYSIAN MOTHER
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Father of child is non-Malaysian but mother is Malaysian.
2. The registration is made within one (1) year from the date of birth.
3. The child is born after the date of marriage and born in Finland / Estonia / Latvia.
4. Parents and child must be present at the Consular Office.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
5. Completed Form B and Lampiran A.15(2) (to fill in Embassy)
6. Malaysian Marriage Certificate
7. Passport for both parents;
8. Identity Card(s) for both parents;
9. Resident Permit of both parents;
10. Birth Certificate of both parents;
11. Local Birth Certificate of the child (must legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
12. Child travel document (If any).
13. Three (3) passport size photos of the child.
FEES (Please bring exact amount in cash only)
14. Legalization of Birth Certificate (EUR 5.00)
15. Application Fee (EUR 5.00)
Completed application forms together with the other supporting documents are to be submitted to the Embassy between 09:00-12:00 daily Mon-Fri with appointment only.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Applicable for child’s father or both parents are Malaysian citizens
2. The Registration is made within one (1) year from the date of birth.
3. The child born after the date of marriage and born in Finland/Estonia/Latvia.
4. Parents and the child must be present at the Consular Office.

6. Passport of both parents
7. Identity Card (s) of parents
8. Residence Permit of both parents
9. Birth certificate of both parents
10. Malaysian Marriage Certificate
11. Local Birth Certificate of the child (must legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
12. Three (3) passport photos of the child

REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE (CIVIL MARRIAGE)
A non-Muslim Malaysian citizen who has contracted a marriage in the Finland MUST register the marriage with this office within six (6) months from the date of marriage. This is a legal requirement under the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976 of Malaysia and it is an offence if you fail to do so within the prescribed time. A penalty charge will be imposed for late registration on how late the registration takes place.
The procedure requires both husband and wife to appear personally at this office and bring along following (Original + 2 copies)
1. Form JPN KC06 can be filled up during your visit;
2. Two (2) recent colour photographs (each), Size 3.5 x 5.0 cm;
3. Marriage Certificate in English and to be legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
4. Passport of Applicant and spouse;
5. Identity Card of Applicant and spouse;
6. Birth Certificate of applicant and spouse;
7. Copy of wedding photo;
8. Resident Permit of Applicant and spouse for non-EU Resident;
9. Marriage Registration Fee: EUR 5.00 (cash only) Please note the following:
1) For late registration of more than six (6) months, penalty fee will be imposed.
2) The fee is payable in local currency equivalent to the amount. Please ask for exchange rate for that particular month;
First Year: RM100.00
Following Year: RM50.00
Our consular hours are 09.00 am -12.00 noon from Monday to Friday (except on public holidays). Appointment is required.
MARRIAGE REGISTRATION (MUSLIM MARRIAGE)
For Muslim marriage, one is required to obtain a permission to get married (Permohonan Kebenaran Berkahwin) from the Religious Office in the state where you are registered in Malaysia. Once you have obtained the permission, you are then allowed to registered your marriage in the mosque or Islamic Organization in Finland.
You may then re-register your marriage with Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV) and Religious Office in the state where you are registered in Malaysia.
