H.E. High Commissioner Nor’ Azam Mohd Idrus and his team from the High Commission of Malaysia organized the 67th National Day and 61st Malaysia Day celebration at the official residence of the High Commissioner. In his remarks, TYT, among others, highlighted the alignment of the “Malaysia Madani: Jiwa Merdeka” theme with Fiji’s own focus on unity, patriotism, sustainability, and prosperity. He also reflected on the historic relationship between Malaysia and Fiji to modern day ties. Through the use of a pantun majlis and poetry TYT was able to further emphasize the importance of culture and shared values jointly embraced by both countries.
