MALAYSIAN AMBASSADOR TO FRANCE PRESENTS LETTER OF CREDENCE TO FRENCH PRESIDENT
Smartly clad in a black Baju Melayu complete with songkok and gold-threads sampin, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to France presented his letters of credence to President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, 2 November 2021 at the Elysée Palace.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France and French President's diplomatic advisor Emmanuel Bonne.
There were 22 Ambassadors in total who presented their credentials for France.
Ambassador Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid is the 19th Ambassador of Malaysia to France. Prior to his appointment as the Ambassador to France, Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid was the Director-General of the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
He also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam (2016-2019) and the Consul General in New York (2008-2011).
This officially marks the beginning of his tour of duty in France. Dato' Mohd. Zamruni is no stranger to France: he previously served as the Second Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Paris.
