On 4 September 2020, a webinar was co-organised by MEDEF International, the Embassy of Malaysia in France and the Malaysian International Development Agency (MIDA) to address the opportunities and challenges faced by Malaysia in the post Covid-19 economy.

Among the speakers were YB Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI); Mr. Arham Abdul Rahman, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MIDA; Mr. Philippe Gautier, CEO of MEDEF International; H.E. Dato’ Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, Ambassador of Malaysia to France and H.E. Mr. Frédéric Laplanche, Ambassador of France to Malaysia.

The Webinar, which discussed an array of issues pertaining to Malaysia’s responsiveness and plans during and after the pandemic Issues pertaining to COVID-19 was well participated by a cross-cutting segment of the stakeholders. Prominent businesses such as Airbus, BNP Paribas, Naval Group and Safran actively participated in the Webinar, and expressed their hope to have the same form of engagement in the future.
