CONTRIBUTION OF MALAYSIA TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE BAHAMAS

IN AID OF RECOVERY EFFORTS FOLLOWING THE CATASTROPHE CAUSED BY HURRICANE DORIAN

 

 

On 6 November 2019, His Execellency Dato‘ Syed Md Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York, handed over Malaysia’s financial contribution of USD 25,000 for the recovery efforts by The Bahamas following the catastrophe caused by Hurricane Dorian on 1 September 2019.

 

The contribution from the  Disaster Relief Fund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia was received by Her Excellency Sheila Carey, the Permanent Representative of The Bahamas to the United Nations in New York. 

 

Malaysia stands in solidarity with the Government and people of The Bahamas as they undertake rebuilding efforts following the unprecedented natural disaster.
