DEVELOPMENTS CONCERNING THE RECENT COVID-19 OUTBREAK IN BEIJING
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, through the Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing, is closely monitoring the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in parts of Beijing. The situation is presently under control. During this period, no Malaysian has been reported to be infected by COVID-19 in Beijing and in China.
All Malaysians in Beijing should comply with relevant local health screening regulations, and avoid non-essential travel to affected districts. Malaysians residing in Beijing or planning their travel to and from Beijing are also advised to continue to take the necessary precautionary measures. The Ministry encourages all Malaysians in China to take into account possible disruptions to travel and transportation when making travel arrangements.
All Malaysians in the People’s Republic of China are encouraged to provide the Embassy or nearest Consulate-General with contact details of persons to be notified in case of an emergency, if they have not done so already. This can be done through the following link: https://is.gd/MyCn2020.
